Corey Evans joins us and discusses his work as an assurance
team lead at the Deer Park manufacturing site. He sees his job as
exposing reality. He notes that he’s getting key stakeholders the
information that they need to know to make adjustments moving
forward. His job is to ensure that the dashboard the leader
receives isn’t just green, but to dig into what’s happening with
the front line worker or process performer. He says that data
driven decision making is the best way to drive improvement and
performance. As the man in the middle he’s adding art to the
science of process excellence. Asking questions that aren’t
necessarily on the dashboard and ensuring the answers get up the
chain of command is the true key.
